Today's Morning Prayer

Expand my heart oh God,
You are the only one who can!

You give me breath and life and I am only a product of YOU!

I desire for You to be proud of me, and  WANT you to want to trust me!

Show me how I can do Your will today, show me how I can rule for You. Not instead of You, not regardless of You- but how can I help You get Your work done today... Your will be done!

I surrender to You my all, thank you for showing me what it is You desire for me today... I love You!

Psalm 91, The Message Version

Psalm 91 (The Message)

Psalm 91

1-13You who sit down in the High God's presence, spend the night in Shaddai's shadow,
Say this: "God, you're my refuge.
I trust in you and I'm safe!"
That's right—he rescues you from hidden traps,
      shields you from deadly hazards.
His huge outstretched arms protect you—
      under them you're perfectly safe;
his arms fend off all harm.
Fear nothing—not wild wolves in the night,
not flying arrows in the day,
Not disease that prowls through the darkness,
not disaster that erupts at high noon.
Even though others succumb all around,
drop like flies right and left,
no harm will even graze you.
You'll stand untouched, watch it all from a distance,
watch the wicked turn into corpses.
   Yes, because God's your refuge,
the High God your very own home,
Evil can't get close to you,
harm can't get through the door.
   He ordered his angels
to guard you wherever you go.
   If you stumble, they'll catch you;
their job is to keep you from falling.
You'll walk unharmed among lions and snakes,
and kick young lions and serpents from the path.

14-16 "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God
"I'll get you out of any trouble.
I'll give you the best of care
if you'll only get to know and trust me.
   Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times;
I'll rescue you, then throw you a party.
I'll give you a long life,
give you a long drink of salvation!"

Praise Jesus!

I'm tired, but I am excited.

I just finished my first book ever, and it is ready to be edited. What an amazing journey I have been on. The emotion is overwhelming- and I am hungry to see what the Lord will do next. How incredible He is- that He attempts to make us credible to others.

"I will praise Him in the morning, I will praise Him noon and night- He has me in His hands, I pray He holds me tight."

Joshua 1:8, Exactly What I Needed to Hear! Praise Jesus

"Moses my servant is dead. Get going. Cross this Jordan River, you and all the people. Cross to the country I'm giving to the People of Israel. I'm giving you every square inch of the land you set your foot on—just as I promised Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon east to the Great River, the Euphrates River—all the Hittite country—and then west to the Great Sea. It's all yours. All your life, no one will be able to hold out against you. In the same way I was with Moses, I'll be with you. I won't give up on you; I won't leave you. Strength! Courage! You are going to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestors. Give it everything you have, heart and soul. Make sure you carry out The Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it. Don't get off track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get to where you're going. And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed. Haven't I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don't be timid; don't get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take." My God, my God.

My God, my God

You picked up ALL my broken pieces.

You gave me breath- when I was choking, you gave me sight when I was closing my eyes.

Your mercy astounds me!

Why?

Why, do you use such broken-up vessels?

Are you looking for- PERFECTION?

Don't you want someone who looks the part- acts the part, IS the part?

Why on earth did you choose me? A confused, unwise, idiotic child- no where near Holy.

The JOY I feel in you- is undescribable-

You have taken me, created a new mold for me-

rebuilt me,

renamed me,

reworked me,

given me honor,

lavished me with gifts,

granted me peace-

You have used... me.

HE'S ALIVE

In Honor of Our Lord's Resurrection- Be Blessed!

The Lord Comes to Us!

One day, as I was meditating on the power of speaking in tongues- the Lord showed me a busy foreign marketplace. Where everyone was bustling around, like a busy mob -shoulder to shoulder- all speaking a foreign language, various different words- all at the same time. Not a tranquil Sunday afternoon marketplace in which you would meander dreamily, but a sweaty Monday marketplace filled with a cacophony of various motions and foreign dialect. In the vision, a father and son- both English speaking, had been separated- and the father was looking, with out-stretched neck- for the son.

Oddly enough, the father was not shouting- he was listening. It was the son who was doing the shouting, saying; “Father! Father! Here I am!” Even though the boys voice, was fainter than the rest of the indecipherable jargon- the father found him, immediately! Not because he was screaming louder than the rest- but because the boy was speaking English in a crowd of foreign speaking people! The father and son couldn’t see each other- but when the son shouted out to his father, in a language his father could understand- the father immediately found the son, and they were reunited.

“ And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” Gal. 4:6 (KJV) The Message Version says, “You can tell for sure that you are now fully adopted as His own children because God sent the Spirit of His Son into our lives crying out, "Papa! Father!" Doesn't that privilege of intimate conversation with God make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you're also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance.”

How wonderful is that! The Spirit of Jesus- His very Spirit is living in us crying “Abba, Father!” Before the vision from the Lord, I had always read this scripture to mean that we are left to cry out to Him, and go find Him (like it was in our power)- but instead, it is Jesus’ Spirit in us crying out to the Father God, on our behalf! We became God’s very own child when we accepted His Son, and now we through Christ- speak His language! Thank God it’s not up to me to figure out how to get to Him, I’d only get myself more lost!

What is this language? What is this language that is spoken that only God hears? This language that when we are lost in a crowd- He hears, and comes to us immediately? Praise! Oh that sweet sound of praise! It wasn’t until I read Myles Munroe’s book, and the chapter on The Blessing of Judah- that I realized the full meaning of the vision the Lord had given me. The Lord comes to us!

When we are in an intimate relationship with someone, like the little boy in the marketplace- we speak the same language. And though the boy was shouting, “Father! Father!” What he was really saying was “My trusted companion! My provider! My only security! Where are you?!” When we shout out to our Father, in time of need, or hopefully otherwise- we praise Him! And He hears our praise!

“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” (Psalm 22:3) When we praise God- He comes to us! Unlike other religions full of ‘trying to get a more heightened sense of spirituality’, when we praise our God- He comes and finds us! How freeing is that? You will never be lost, abandoned, left alone again! And once you are reconnected, and hooked up to the source of His provision- He is more than capable to set you straight again, because He not only loves you and wants to find you, He created you!

“What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.” Matthew 6:33 (The Message)

Your Heart

You have been here all along-

I have searched for you,
like one who searches for their shoes,
Only to find them on their feet.

You have never left me,
I have continued to stumble and stray,
And yet you love me.

Your heart exemplifies hearts,
You had a heart first- without you,
Mine wouldn't beat.

I have tried to figure You out-
And yet the deeper I go,
The more expansive You get!

To me Your love is like;

A calm summer rain, the fat wet droplets soothing my tired burnt skin.
A long nights rest, after a weary day.

Your love smells like a warm cotton towel that has been hung out on the line-
Soft and billowy, fresh and new.

There aren't enough words to describe You.
My vocabulary is frightful.
I could study for days, weeks, months, and years
And NEVER have enough to say about you.

So in my silence I feel for You.
I pray that my heart would swell with Your praises,
That my blood would quicken
with the anticipation of Your return,

That My spirit would intercourse with Yours.

In my silence
I train my body to worship you,

So that when I do audibly praise You-

I might someday
Be able to express
How grateful I am,

That You had heart

enough

to

give

me

mine.

The Lord is my Sheperd, I shall not w...

The Lord is my Shepperd, I shall not want.
He has made me new every morning, great is Thy Faithfulness.
Your rod and Your staff they guide me, all the days of my life.
I have become something, out of nothing- and I owe my life to you.

My life is not my 'life'- it is Yours.
I owe 'Your' life to You.
You have restored my family, and brought us to a place of togetherness.
We are but dust in your presence, yet you continually bless us.
You make life worth living.

You give us peace to calm any storm-

Mercy to eradicate faults.
Joy to overcome sorrow.
Laughter to set fear straight.
Courage to stand against the storm.

When others ask how I've done anything, I will state I haven't done anything at all-
It has all been done by you,
Everything I am, and have has been brought by you.

You are the Alpha the Omega- the beginning and the end.
You were here from the beginning of time, and have come down to this wretched land- so that we may be restored to

Your dream.
Your vision.

You have descended upon your people- you have never left us,
Nor forsaken us.

At Calvary you had to let your Son go-
You had to turn away from sin,
This must have been the hardest thing- You have ever had to do,
And You did it for me,
A non-Jew that doesn't deserve scraps from your table.

And yet, I am now partaking in the covenant promise you gave to Father Abraham.
I am blessed coming in-
I am blessed coming out.
I am the head-
and not the tail.

You have written my name in the Lamb's Book of Life,
I bow down before you, and praise your Holy name;

"Abba Father!
 Jehovah-Jireh!
 Jehovah-Nissi!
 Jehovah-Tsidkenu!
 Jehovah-Shalom!
 El-Shaddai!

You are my fortress and my deliverer- in You will I cleave!"

You have given me children,
Riches,
Joy,
Animals,
Land,
Houses,
Transportation,
Family,
Friends,
Health and healing,
Food to eat,
Love everlasting,
Comfort,
Peace,
Confidence,
Clarity,
Ears,
Eyes,
Limbs,
Speech.

All of these thing you have willingly given me-
All of these things I have not deserved.

But yet You love me, You care for me- You want to see me most blessed.
You are Jehovah Elohim!
Praise Jesus!
Amen!
